• Skilled in video editing, Microsoft Office and other relevant software
• Strong writing, editing, and verbal communication skills in English and Bangla. Previous translation experience will add value.

• Previous involvement in the social development sector is a plus.

Responsibilities & Context
Counterpart International (CI) has been implementing the Promoting Advocacy and Rights (PAR) Program, funded by the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), which aims to strengthen citizen participation in Bangladesh. Currently, the PAR program has five partner organizations working on citizen-led advocacy campaigns on issues such as environmental pollution, unplanned urbanization, and social inclusion in both Dhaka and Khulna.
Purpose of the Job
Counterpart International is looking for qualified fresh graduates or students for an internship under its USAID-funded Promoting Advocacy and Rights Activity in Bangladesh (PAR). This four-month internship is based in Bangladesh's capital, Dhaka, and will report to the COP. The intern will be responsible for developing communication tools, including photographs and videos of PAR and its grantees' activities. The photos and videos should promote the positive grassroots work and success stories of PAR's partners and their communities.
JOB DESCRIPTION: Intern (Communications)
SPECIFIC DUTIES:
• The Intern (Communications) will work under the guidance of Program and communications team of PAR. This position will mainly assist in regular communications-related material development for the Counterpart International PAR team. S/he will also assist other PAR staff members in ensuring effective project implementation as required.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
• Tasks and responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):
• Support all aspects of communication, including production and management of the communications materials, presentation and promotion.
• Create and edit video content for social media and other communications platforms.
• Support the implementation of deliverables of PAR communications Counterpart/USAID strategies, including the organization and management of initiatives and events and the production and revision of digital and traditional products.
• Conduct research and brainstorm opportunities related to internal communications and branding.
• Write, edit, and upload text and multimedia content, including feature articles and interviews, to online communication platforms.
• Participate in meetings and conduct interviews to produce reports for internal and external audiences.
• Help organize events related to corporate communications strategies and programmed.
